COVID-19 Vaccine Registration Just Got Easier

City, County, Private and Public Health Systems Combining Forces to Simplify Access to Vaccinations

Health, business and elected leaders in Hamilton County and the City of Cincinnati are teaming up to provide a unified vaccination website to simplify the way people in Hamilton County and region can receive vaccination information.

TestandProtectCincy.com provides a one-stop-shop for information on vaccine eligibility, email alerts and public and private health care providers for registering and scheduling the shot. Those who are eligible will have a central source for information on where they can register/schedule an appointment to be vaccinated. Those who are not eligible can sign up to be notified when new rounds open. Those with difficulty registering online can dial 211 from any phone for assistance thanks to a partnership with the United Way of Greater Cincinnati.

Currently, Phase 1A of the State of Ohio’s plan is being implemented. Front line hospital staff and health care workers, residents and staff at nursing homes, assisted living and veterans homes are currently being vaccinated. Phase 1B is also beginning with Ohioans over the age of 80 years old being vaccinated starting January 19th, Ohioans 75 and older will begin vaccination on January 25 and so on.

Eligible individuals can schedule a vaccination shot through their doctor or health system, local health department or private health care provider.

For example, one such key vaccine provider locally, Kroger is announcing vaccine availability at over 20 stores in Hamilton County that have a Little Clinic. Kroger is also listed on the TestandProtectCincy.com. With vaccines arriving next week, Kroger’s helpline will be active starting Saturday, January 16, and next week we will only be providing vaccines to the current phase/included populations, seniors 80+.
