Section 1.0 Fair Employment Rights and Responsibilities : Updated the Anti-Discrimination definition to include all current protected classes under federal law and moved from Section 6.1 for better clarity with newly adopted policies.
Section 1.1 Professional Workplace Policy : Adopted to maintain a workplace that is respectful and professional and addresses communications and behavior toward all employees, contractors, visitors, or persons otherwise in the County public service environment.
Section 1.2 Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging : Adopted to foster a work environment that is diverse, equitable, inclusive, and where employees feel secure and supported to be their authentic selves at work and experience a strong sense of acceptance, inclusion, and belonging.
Section 1.3 Workplace Culture Programming : Adopted to establish the framework for the desired workplace culture, identifying ways in which employees can add value to the organization through a variety of workplace culture initiatives and programs.
The Purpose, Scope, Disclaimer, and Severability; Administration of the Personnel System; and Definitions have been moved from Section 1.0 to the Preface of the Personnel Policy Manual.
